Cumpleaños de Luka y Día de los Muertos

Este 28 de Octubre, todos estan invitados a vestir de rojo, para celebrar el primer cumpleaños de Luka con la parada del día de los muertos. Nos juntaremos en la Plaza Saltillo (5 th y Comal) a las 5 de la tarde para comenzar la proceción a la s 6 de la tarde y culminar a las 7.00 pm en Mexic-Arte (5th and Congress) donde la entrada será liberada para los participantes



The parade (which leads to the festival) is a lively celebration of tradition, and you are encouraged to dress in costume and bring instruments to play for the crowd. The more interactive the better! In lieu of a costume, we ask members of our group to wear RED, calavera masks will be provided.To march in the parade arrive by 5:00 p.m. at Saltillo Plaza (E. 6th St. & Comal). The approximate length of the parade is one hour, from 6 - 7 p.m. We will enjoy birthday cake and tacos as we wait for the parade to start.The Festival (which kicks off at 7 p.m. at Mexic-Arte Museum) feartures live music, children's activities, arts and crafts, traditional foods, ballet folklorico, puppet shows, aztec dancers, constume contests, and, of course, an art exhibit.Entrance to the festival is free for parade participants, and otherwise $3 for children and $5 for adults.Mexic-Arte Museum is located at 419 Congress.
